Margaret Dubowski
Margaret’s love of Australian flora began as a young child, while walking the eastern bushlands with her grandmother and mother. Many of her artworks are inspired by these memories and reflect a deep appreciation of the beauty and simplicity of indigenous flowers and foliage found in natural settings and still life arrangements. She also likes to explore the organic forms and light play of forest environments.
Since producing the botanical drawings in pen and ink for ‘Native Tress of the Central Illawarra’ (1985) Margaret has also created award winning art in graphite, watercolour, acrylics, oils and photography on papers, linen, canvas and wood. Margaret’s original works and privately commissioned pieces hang in homes throughout Australia.
