Since graduating Victorian College of the Arts in 1992, Kate has been exploring still life and the idea of hunting and collecting. ‘These creatures are my intelligent collaborators, symbol of thought and imagination’. Kate hopes her paintings, with the use of exotic and everyday elements bound within the ongoing concerns of Natura Morte, would reveal the world as a wonderful and magical place alive with possibilities… or perhaps alive with impossibility.
