William Boissevain established himself as one of Western Australia’s most successful painters since settling in Perth in 1947. He had a nomadic and fascinating childhood as the son of diplomats who was posted to various parts of the world. His art reflects a passion for colour and the art of direct painting. Boissevain has devoted his life to the beauty of nature, flowers, fruit, landscape, people, and animals, all of which become encapsulated in his exuberant vision.
